Aims:

Be
able to recognize and name vocabulary related to previous units.

Produce
short pieces of texts making use of vocabulary, as well as the has got
grammatical structure

Recognize
and make use not only of the personal pronouns SHE & HE, but also the verb
HAVE GOT required for their SPECIFIC conjugation.
Personal Aims: Observing how children respond to our tasks concerning
basic listening comprehension as well as kinesthetic activities.
·
To
assess students’ engagement and motivation through their participation in tasks
introducing activities that combine vocabulary, as well as different
macro-skills.
Contents
HAS GOT/
HAS NOT GOT. Personal pronouns (he, she). Descriptive vocabulary.
Lexis
Reinforce learners
basic vocabulary regarding FAMILY MEMBERS – such as mother, father, child,
baby, sister, brother, grandmother and grandfather-, so that they can get
acquainted with this new topic. Furthermore, as the introduction of the HAS
GOT/HAS NOT GOT grammatical structure paves the way to the use of a wide range
of vocabulary, students will benefit by creating rich productions according to
their level,

Materials: Photocopies provided to the students- Blackboard-
students’ notebooks. The school’s image projector and mobile loudspeakers.
Procedures: Teaching strategies
Activity one
Students
will be shown a three-minute video about one of their favorite movies called
“Despicable me 2” so as to engage them and proceed teaching the grammatical
structure “HAS GOT/HAS NOT GOT”.
Activity Two
For the
sake of promoting audio-visual comprehension, students will be asked to perform
either in pairs or alone, a short TRUE (T) or FALSE (F) activity that will be
closely related to the new grammatical structures already developed vocabulary.
Activity Three
This
activity will require students to match short sentences describing the
characters granted by trainees with HAS GOT or HAS NOT GOT, depending on the
picture they will be provided. Within the short descriptions, students will be
able to describe the characters by making use of already-taught vocabulary
(body parts, colours etc).

Activity Four
This
activity will require students to move around the classroom in order to find
fellow students that share the characteristics required in the statements. So
as to avoid boredom or discouragement do to repetition and similarity, trainees
created three different formats of the activity-four form.
